Yes . but theres nothing stopping them charging £15 entry fee and selling all drinks at 1P each all night is there. ? Theres always a way around silly legislation if you use a little imagination.

No , what im describing is clever business sense, knowing full well that nights like this will bring rich financial rewards. To me morals dont come into it where business is concerned. And its the responsibility of the drinker to control their intake of alcohol ,afterall pubs and nightclubs dont force feed alcohol to customers do they .

Any licensee holding such a night on their premises is liable for prosecution and risking losing one's license to make a quick buck is certainly not good business sense.

Its only illegal to give the drinks away for FREE. As ive previously said ,add any price tag to the drinks ,even just a token price of 1p ,and its perfectly legal to do so.

It refers to 'irresponsible promotions' no mention whatsoever of free drinking. It specifically refers to 'all you can drink for a tenner' style promotions as being an example of what the law considers to be irresponsible. Another fiver won't make much difference.
