NEW WALKERS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME

 

This is the first Shamblers evening walk of the New Year. This is a 4.5 mile walk and will take us just under two hours. It takes us through the area of Oughtibridge and the its surrounding woodland areas. There are is a steady climb uphill involved, and the terrain varies from footpaths, bridleways, tracks to woodland paths.After the walk we'll choose from either The Pheasant Inn or the **** inn for a social drink.

Start time: 6:50pm

 

Meeting point: Station Lane, Oughtidridge, S35 0JS (use house number 37 in your sat nav) the bottom of Station road next to Coronation Park and just over the small bridge

 

Parking: On road parking on Station Road and surrounding streets

 

Public Transport:

 

Bus 57 leaves Sheffield interchange at 6:15pm arriving at Chuch Street, Oughtibridge at 6:42pm

 

Bus 58 leaves Sheffield interchange at 5:45pm arriving at Chuch Street, Oughtibridge at 6:12pm

 

Bus X57 leaves Sheffield interchange at 6:15pm arriving at Chuch Street, Oughtibridge at 6:39pm

 

There is a short walk from Church Street to Station Lane.

Importamt:

 

Anyone joining the walk should be of a level of fitness relative to the walk being undertaken, be appropriately dressed, have suitable footwear, and have with them enough food and drink for the duration of the walk.

Remember to bring a torch as you will need one, if you don't have one, don't worry the Shamblers have some we can lend out for the duration of the walk. If you need to borrow one just say so in your post.
