MC Spyda Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 So do you think he can still do a job in the Premiership?
MC Spyda Posted December 30, 2011 Author Posted December 30, 2011 Hasn't been officially confirmed yet, but it's fairly certain. A short loan should be going through any day now.
joiner andy Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 ofcourse he can, he's only 34 what a player he is too! glad to see him back, megson should have gone for him!
HeadingNorth Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 The things players tend to lose are their speed and stamina; neither were integral parts of Henry's game. His sharpness and accuracy are likely to be as good as ever.
Robbie Loving Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 The things players tend to lose are their speed and stamina; neither were integral parts of Henry's game. His sharpness and accuracy are likely to be as good as ever. I'd say speed was a massive part of Henry's game. I think he can do a job in the PL, but I think he is going to disappoint the fans who idolised him for years, if he goes back to Arsenal.
HeadingNorth Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 I'd say speed was a massive part of Henry's game. I don't really remember him charging all over the pitch in matches; he tended to just be in the right place when the ball arrived instead of having to sprint thirty yards to get there.
Dimitri 11 Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 He was never as fast as somebody like Walcott is now but he had good pace. He can probably still do a decent job and realistically he's about as good as you are going to get if you're looking for a loan striker to cover players going off to the African Nations Cup. I can't see him pulling up any trees but I'd rather have him coming off of the bench for 2 months than Nicholas Bendtner.
Snook Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 I think if he was going to any other club it would be a good move. It's never going to be good going back to a club that you left on a high when you are no longer the player you once were.
ChrisT70 Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 won't be exactly the same they never are, but remember Henrik Larsson coming to Man utd when everyone said he was past his best, the top players always do ok and will score goals.
