CHarrison Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 What Coffee do you use? I've been using some Lavazza in my Gaggia, and also some Cafe Vergnano I picked up in Turin, Italy.
Lynxb4u Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 Ethopia Sidoma is a great tasting everyday coffee
Nagel Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 Isn't method almost as important as the type of coffee? A Moka is the method favoured by most Italians I've met and is also the cheapest way as you can get one for about for about 5 Euro in Italy, probably more here.
HypnoReiki Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 I use starbucks espresso beans (grind at home), bragazzis beans (abbeydale road italian cafe) or the cheaper alternative which is really good quality (surprisingly) is the sainsbury's own version which is in a purple bag. very good beans and grounds.
poppins Posted January 24, 2012 Posted January 24, 2012 Bought a new coffee maker, it's a KEURIG, seems everyones using them now, it uses pods, assorted, coffees, teas, cocoa, makes one cup at a time which takes less than 2 min to brew, it's like being at Starbucks every morning, I love it.
Bonjon Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 I got one of the Argos cookworks Espresso maker, £30 and it was voted best espresso maker by Which magazine or something, makes a nice cup, especially with the knowledge that its beating all the expensive makers. As for coffee Lavazza or a high caffeine Lava Java (forget whats in it).
brianthedog Posted January 28, 2012 Posted January 28, 2012 Lavazza for me too. Bragazzi if I'm feeling flush! I use a stove top maker, a Gaggia machine or an AeroPress (Google it - the best budget coffee maker available). Edit to add... Tamper Coffee (down the street next to Nandos) is worth a visit!
