Anybody know the LG Optimus (GT540) phone?

my speakers stopped working and i cant hear calls or media playing, its either knackered OR is there a setting for turning the loudspeaker on or off that i may have inadvertantly set to off?

ive looked in the settings about 400 times but i cant find it

We have the Optimus one and I've not noticed a sound off other than the lock screen option.

yeah theres the normal sound on / silent / vibrate options

and when your in a call theres a mute / speaker option that you can set on or off if you press the menu button but they dont work set either way

i have that phone it kept showing i had new message but could not get rid the sign ,anyhow got the wife to save my numbers on to sim .then just reset the phone to original ,lost my apps but phone bang on now

I didn't have that model, but have had a couple of LG where the speaker just randomly stopped working, I couldn't hear on a call, but they could hear me, so I'd answer it and stand there shouting "I can't hear you, I'll ring you back in a minute"

 

As I couldn't hear them, I shouted, even though I knew they could hear me
