I got 3 taxis all in the same night to and from jessops and back again when i was in labour and then never even said anything!! We used Mercury.

Bet the driver feels a bit apprehensive though, lol. Realistically it must be scary knowing that if anything started "happening" your the one who has to help.

Why not phone a few firms beforehand and see what they say? I cant really help coz I'm in Rotherham, but thats what I did and they said they can radio and ask the drivers. When the time came I ended up with a lovely little driver who was encouraging me to breathe etc. in broken english, bless him! Failing that, I would ring at the time and not tell them.....I cant see a driver coming all the way to your house and refusing a fare.

i used city 2393939, didnt tell them and bit my lip all the way! they must be used to it.

Get some of those mats to cover up the seat and I don't see why it should matter. I am sure drunks are much more of a problem tbh
