A little while ago there was a thread about this and it occurred to me that I had never used a dslr for that purpose, in fact I hadn't done that kind of photography since the days of HP5 Microphen and very soft printing paper so I gave it a go here are some of the results

Love these photos. The lighting is fantastic! Have you edited them at all??

Yes they have all been edited in Lightroom 3 mainly exposure and noise reduction

Superb photos! What body and lens combination did you use?

Thank you, they were taken with a Canon 500D and Sigma 17 - 70 zoom all the exif is on Flickr

If you click through to flickr, the EXIF data is all there - the one I checked was as EOS500D and 17-70 lens - not sure if there is more than one model of 17-70 in the Canon range though.

EDIT - pete051 beat me too it, and of course knows more than me about his own rather lovely pictures!

I am glad you brought up this page, now I notice that I hadn't cropped the shot of Tudor square to hide the converging parallels correction. Odd thing is though it is corrected on Flickr it still shows the uncorrected pic on here, strange.
