pete051 Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 A little while ago there was a thread about this and it occurred to me that I had never used a dslr for that purpose, in fact I hadn't done that kind of photography since the days of HP5 Microphen and very soft printing paper so I gave it a go here are some of the results untitled-1841.jpg by pete051, on Flickr sheffield-night-7.jpg by pete051, on Flickr sheffield-night-6.jpg by pete051, on Flickr sheffield-night-8.jpg by pete051, on Flickr
Zadok Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 Those are some real crisp and stunning photos to say they were taken at night. Excellent. Z
missthommo Posted April 3, 2012 Posted April 3, 2012 Love these photos. The lighting is fantastic! Have you edited them at all??
pete051 Posted April 3, 2012 Author Posted April 3, 2012 Love these photos. The lighting is fantastic! Have you edited them at all?? Yes they have all been edited in Lightroom 3 mainly exposure and noise reduction
Lionheart Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 Superb photos! What body and lens combination did you use?
pete051 Posted April 4, 2012 Author Posted April 4, 2012 Superb photos! What body and lens combination did you use? Thank you, they were taken with a Canon 500D and Sigma 17 - 70 zoom all the exif is on Flickr Pete
Number Six Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 If you click through to flickr, the EXIF data is all there - the one I checked was as EOS500D and 17-70 lens - not sure if there is more than one model of 17-70 in the Canon range though. EDIT - pete051 beat me too it, and of course knows more than me about his own rather lovely pictures!
pete051 Posted April 4, 2012 Author Posted April 4, 2012 I am glad you brought up this page, now I notice that I hadn't cropped the shot of Tudor square to hide the converging parallels correction. Odd thing is though it is corrected on Flickr it still shows the uncorrected pic on here, strange.
