Better than Littlefix getting to no.1, as it stands this is No.1 followed by Dominick The Donkey(Chris Moyles is pushing this), then Littlefix.

The big facebook campaign seemed to be Nirvana but looks like it has failed really bad.

I'm personally utterly sick of Chris Evans on radio 2 'banging' on about it incessantly. I got in my car yesterday morning, turned on the radio, and said to my partner "I bet he can't go for more then 3 minutes without mentioning it".....barely before the words had left my lips, there he was waffling about it!!!.....It's driving me nuts! So much so, that even had I kinda liked it in the first place, I now hate it!

Yes the sentiment is very laudible, and quite frankly anything that pokes a stick in the eye of Simon Cowell and co, is always a bonus.

Yours faithfully (the grumpy old git)

I agree with Bonjon - prefer anything to be No1 over Little Mix (how they won is a mystery), however I can't comment on the military wives one, as I havent heard it properly, but its for a good cause.

Which just goes to prove my point that the charts mean nothing these days. You would rather a song you haven't heard hit #1 over a half decent girl band. If i remember rightly, all profits from the xfaxtor go to charity anyway.

For some unknown reason, Chris Evans on Radio 2 is giving it loads and loads of air play, he is playing it and bigging it up so much i think he must have a vested interest in it, he even had school children singing a version, personally i hate the song, and it is really doing my nut in listening to it on the radio all the time....as 0742 says, the charts mean sod all these days.....on a side note, i was watching a top of the pops show from 1976 last night on tv, and know what.? there were pretty women singing in jumpers, they had no need to show off all the flesh like the untalented so called stars of today.

He is biggging it up because its for charity, I suppose you had to se the TV program to realise what its all about.

Talking about the 70`s did you see the news last night about that old Bowie clip they have found ........ Jean Genie, classic 70`s

The Florin Street Band's Xmas single is one of the best Xmas songs I've heard for years but it is failing because radio stations won't play it with it not being on a major label. A deserved number 1 if ever I heard one.Great video aswell.

Meh, as long as it keeps old man Cowell's pet Pop "stars" off the top spot, I'm happy with it.
