My youngest (7y) loves cooking and wants to make something for his grandparents for Christmas (either sweets of some kind or biscuits). I need something that is easy and foolproof for him to do that is delicious :) It would probably be better if it didn't take too long aswell as he has attention problems :) Has anyone got any recipies that would fit the bill?

I made these the other day, they are super easy:

Its an American recipe. If you don't have any cup measures just use a small mug, it doesn't have to be too exact. Confectioner's sugar is icing sugar. All-purpose flour is plain flour. I did it without the espresso powder and they were lovely.

They look rather good - may make some of those as well as the easy chocolate fudge that I found :)

Was just gonna say fudge. The condensed milk recipe is soooow easy! It makes good a good little gift too.

Thats the one I am going to try - chocolate, condensed milk, butter, icing sugar and press chopped nuts into the top:)

I know it's a bit late for Christmas now, but this is such a good thread idea...

... meringue nests with just about anything!

crush some raspberries through a tea strainer or sieve

mix the juice with creme fraiche (sp?)

spoon into meringue nests

decorate with whole raspberries

add a splash of schnaps for a greater depth of flavour!

Sprinkle with grated dark choc if desired
