I dont know how they all lived in that house either, and Stan on only his busdrivers money.

It must have been the first reality show ever, dont you think.

But then again, they may have been actors, playing a part.

Yeah OK, I know...

I used to love that show, and I still watch it on ITV3! Shame the bloke who played Stan died last year, and I think "Olive and Arthur" have also died.

Anna Karen (Olive) is very much alive. :)

The mother owned the house,Jack was a plumber and Olive was one of Britains first female financiers.A pension and three wages ensured that the Butler household withstood the inflationary pressures of the 70s.

Reg Varney was also the first choice to play Del Boy in Only Fools and Horses.

No, that was Jim Broadbent.

Jim Broadbent: 'I'm so glad I turned down being Del Boy'

Jason was a relatively late candidate for the part, with Jim Broadbent (who would later appear in a minor recurring role as DCI Roy Slater), Enn Reitel and Billy Murray all earlier preferences. It was only when producer Ray Butt saw a repeat of Open All Hours that Jason was considered

Given that Reg Varney was born in 1916 and would have been 65 when OFAH started, I'm going to have to call bullshit on this one.

Paul is listening to his music, through the tiny speakers on his cheap mobile. He knows its annoying people, but he doesn't really care. Paul is on this bus, why aren't you?
