absynthfairy Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 I need to dispose of lots of old letters etc... (I'm a hoarder) Anywhere with a fire or somewhere I can take them? Too many to shred and I live in a flat with no garden!
spooferman Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 round to a mates, and burn them. or set the flat on fire
metalman Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 Buy yourself a shredder and do five minutes a day, soon be all gone. But if there are any steamy bits don't forget to scan them in and post them online first... Will you be watching the programme about the obsessive compulsive hoarder on Channel 4 on Wednesday?
Ghozer Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 a Shredder is the best way to go, but do them in 1/2's... Rip them in 1/2.. shred half, then once that's full throw that lot away, and do the other 1/2 Nothing quite like shredding
diablo Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 If you really are stuck then fill up your sink with bleach water you could always add a bit of food colouring if you wanted and then soak all your papers in the water until they turn to mush, then you can dispose of them in the bin. A bit messy but would do the trick.

Ensure use of a cross-cut (not strips-only) shredder, mind.

altus Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 washing powder and hot water does the job just as good Did you find that out with bits of paper with 5, 10 or 20 printed on them that you'd forgotten to take our of your trousers?
scottsmith Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 Veolia do a service and the waste gets burnt at the incinerator in town I believe there is a minimum weight requirement for Veolia to incinerate.
