Robbie Loving Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 Or Blades if they wish to put themselves in a similar situation.... After throwing a lead against Hudds, but also gaining a draw against the Blades.... Hypothetical situation, Would you rather have got the 3 points against Hudds if it meant you getting 0 against the Blades? Now obviously a few things you then have to take into consideration.... you'd now have an extra point, but the Blades would have an extra 2 points.... putting us closer.... also we would have 'bragging' rights. But, it would put you further away from Hudds (who I think are still a big threat) and closer to the top of the league.... If it was me, I'd keep the results the same, purely so the Owls wouldn't have bragging rights
top4718 Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 Not bothered either way, we still have a great chance of promotion and are in an automatic spot, its for others too knock us out of the top two, the Xmas period is usually where the table starts to look like it will in May.
web1 Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 I would be bothered, its all about being better than United for me, so to lose at the lane would be disastrous, even if it was 3 points against hudds, And yes it has been quite a whille since we have been in a position to be able to be better. Finish above United and avoid defeat at S6 and its a great season.
NEKRO138 Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 I'd take the points every time. Could be very valuable come the end of the season and no one will care whether we lost both games to United if we go up.
sheff66 Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 Would take losing to United twice if it meant promotion
Robbie Loving Posted December 20, 2011 Author Posted December 20, 2011 Would take losing to United twice if it meant promotion That wasn't the question but I agree.

Its been a while, maybe the tide is turning now Wednesday have turned the corner, the feel good factor is back and the lads are playing with a smile on their face, you lot must be over the moon
SpeedwayDan Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 I'd take it as it stands now. We're still 2nd and even though saturday was a bit of a blow, if you'd asked me if i'd taken a point after being down by 2 so early on i'd have been happy to.
