Village Owl Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 NEW WALKERS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME This is a 7.5 mile, nice and steady walk. An ideal way to work off all that indulgence of Christmas day. The route talks us through Ecclesall Woods, Beauchief, and Hutcliffe Woods. The terrain will be mainly woodland paths which may get a little muddy in places if its been raining. We'll end the day with a drink in a nearby pub, and share our Christmas day stories. Details Start time: 10:30am Meeting point: Dore Railway Station, Abbeydale Road Parking: Please don't park in the car park infront of the station, there are plenty of side streets you can park on. Public transport: Bus 97/98 or any bus that goes up Abbeydale Road Walk Leaders: Village Owl
Village Owl Posted December 19, 2011 Author Posted December 19, 2011 I'll be there leading, and can offer lifts to three people from around the city centre.
Village Owl Posted December 25, 2011 Author Posted December 25, 2011 Nice to see that we have quite a few names down for this walk already. We hope you all have or are enjoying your Christmas day. Am really looking forward to this one.
