Village Owl Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 NEW WALKERS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME This is the last Shamblers walk before Christmas, and the last chance to wish your fellow Shamblers, and any new walkers a great festive season. This is a 4.5 mile walk and will take us just under two hours. It takes us through Western Park, Pondersoa Park, Crooks Valley Park and the fascinating Lynwood Gardens. The Lynwood Gardens are recently redisicvered 19th Century gardens which ar hidden just off Clarkehouse Road. We will end the night with a festive drink in the West End Pub. Details Start time: 6:50pm Meeting point: Western Park Entrance Gateway (by the museum in Western Park) Parking: On road parking on surrounding streets Public Transport: Plenty of local buses, or you can catch the tram upto the university stop and walk up to Western Park.
