Rokfistrogan Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 All those hundreds of channels and no A Christmas Carol on any this year (apart from the animated one).Gutted.
md00071 Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 "A Christmas Carol: The Musical" is on More4 11.10am Xmas Day. The Patrick Stewart/Richard E. Grant one was on the other day, sorry...
Magilla Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 I've seen 3 seperate versions on TV in the last 3 days! The Patrick Stewart/Richard E. Grant one was on a few days ago. The Kelsey Grammer Musical Version was on yesterday. The Alistair Sim (1951) version was on yesterday. I didn't see the animated version. Isn't 4 seperate versions enough?
md00071 Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 I thought the Patrick Stewart one was superb. I'd forgotten what a good actor he is. Catherine Tate's was brilliant as well in 2009.

The '51 version would have been fine-if I hadn't missed it...
Rokfistrogan Posted December 19, 2011 Author Posted December 19, 2011 You could read the book. What a novel idea.Not.

Beakerzoid Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 Lets not forget Muppets Christmas Carol on Christmas Eve on 4 http://www.radiotimes.com/film/j5qfp/the-muppet-christmas-carol-(1992) Alistair Sim one is also listed for Christmas Eve on 5 http://www.radiotimes.com/episode/nxgv7/scrooge---a-christmas-carol In fact, a search for Christmas Carol on radio Times brought up quite a few of the adaptations on both TV and radio.
