Men's massage in Sheffield-nothing dodgey thanks!

Hi.

My other half is always complaining about general aches and pains and often mentions he would like a good deep tissue massage.

 

He has a really heavy job and works such long hours so I'd love to do something nice for him.

 

I was going to book us both a spa day but I'm pregnant so can't use the sauna etc and would have to have a pregnancy massage which I cant afford at the min.

 

So...after rambling on I'm looking for a decent massage, not a namby pamby one

(which I would love ...)

 

But somewhere where my husband won't feel awkward going to but also nice at the same time, so not like a sports massage.

 

Any recommendations or suggestions...nothing rude please

Try Virgin Active gym. They do sports massage, but I think they also do more general massage also.

 

Dont think you have to be a member, the entrance to the massage/spa is before the swipe card barriers.

I'm a member at Virgin Active, but I'd recommend another place ahead of them tbh - and that's "Relax" on London road. It's opposite Wasabi Sabi next to that hotel that I can never remember the name of.

 

Anyhow, the thing is that it is ran by Chinese people and they do really good authentic Chinese massage. I go occasionally and I'm a big strong guy (well, not Mr Universe y'know, but not a weakling either). I tell you what, those ladies know how to give a really good massage - I feel I've been turned inside out when they've finished with me. They even do the bit where they walk up and down on your back and massage you with their feet.

 

Of course, they will do a more gentle massage if you want - but I like it rough myself - can really feel the benefit of it!

 

About £40 for an hour's full body massage - or you can have part body - head, feet, shoulders, neck, whatever. They do hot stones massage as well but haven't had that. I quite like my creases and don't want them ironing out just yet.

Not sure where abouts in Sheffield you are but my hairdressers have just expanded and now do beauty too, which includes massages and sports massages! They are Headwork at Gleadless Townend.
