Murphy Jnr Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 3 wise men? In Sheffield? Bet they don't work for the Council! If they were that wise they'd steer clear of Sheffield
DerbyTup Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 It was the sun. It sets at that time in December at this latitude. What part of North Africa are you in precisely?
woodmally Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 If they were that wise they'd steer clear of Sheffield If Jesus was born around now he and mary would be camped outside the cathedral with the occupy sheffield lot. Joking aside I think people are right it is the ISS.
some guy Posted December 20, 2011 Author Posted December 20, 2011 Right, here you go mate, sorry to ruin the great mystery and speculation surrounding this thread but... what you saw was a Chinese lantern. Nothing more exciting than that! They burn very brightly, move very fast, fly very high and you could be easily mistaken for thinking it is some kind of aircraft, with a bright orange burning light, but it's not. People are setting these things off on a regular basis nowadays and they keep getting reported as UFO's. But a UFO is only a UFO if it is unidentified - and these have been clearly identifed as Chinese lanterns. Google "Chinese Lantern" to find out more. Do you sell chinese lanterns? Pretty sure it wasn't one as it was very high up - like possibly stratospheric
