britishroame   10 #1 Posted December 18, 2011 Hi Everyone! In my mid 40's located in south yorkshire, an OK musician :-) Looking to meet up with others wanting to form a jam session and/or band of sorts. I like to write originals and do some home recording and video stuff, but would like to get with a bunch of others to collaborate for some fun and hopefully build up an ongoing thing.  I play mainly acoustic (my trusted ol Martin) but open to all forms of music.  Main interests in folky rock blues n funk style with a simplistic edge. Some musicians just try too hard to get it.  I'd like to vary it up a little. love everything from Tom Waites to Tom Petty, Police to Pogues, Paul Weller to Primal Scream, Stereophonics to Stevie Ray Vaughn, Creedance to Cash, Crosby Stills n Nash, Floyd to Clash .. the list goes on.  Main focus is enjoying the plot .. we musicians can sometimes get lost in ourselves, thats NOT what I'm looking for. It's a people thing .. not about selfish ambition or silly dreams .. keep it real boys n girls.  Been and done a lot of traveling and a few experiences along my way :-) Back from 14 years in the US (family matters) Now I work in a real job again :-( so it's nice to escape into the world of sound. Busking was fun at times :-)  Open to any ideas .. Guitars (effects or clean), Keys, synths, Flutes, drums, fiddles, mandos n banjos, ukes, steel, horns, bongos.  Metal shredding is not my thing, nor is a 60's, 70's ++ cover band.  Lets write! VOCALS would be perfect, mine arent great!  Age's 0 to 90, just be in for a good thing.  Dedicated here if you are!  Love to hear from ya!  Cheers Archie  http://www.youtube.com/britishroamer  http://britishroamer.com/rvroadtrip/  http://britishroamer.com/Home.html
 Share this content via...

britishroame   10 #8 Posted December 27, 2011 Dan, love your music and your VIDEO! I started dabbling with viddy stuff on my own while I was over in the bad ol usa. But never had opportunity to get really into productions, I was on a boat with limited space.  I use Final Cut AE and dabble with a few 3D apps etc .. then there' logic pro etc. But just a beginner in many ways, but generally smart from years of bloody noses. :-)  I love that video bout THE ATOMS OF MY RED PLASTIC RECORD PLAYER  Kinda ... Drownin Pool meets Blackpool inside Ian Dury's underwear walking in tom waites shoes. Compliment not insult.  Cheers Arch!
 Share this content via...
