Lots of people I play with opt for Razers and even though there are lots of other brands (I use a SS but I play MMO's so need all 18 buttons honest :hihi: ) Razer are fairly easy to find in the shops, PC World stock em for example.

I know it doesn't sound very festive but unless he gave you more info than the minimum dpi don't spend loads

looks great but imagine if he can't get along with it and hates all 6400 of its dpi!

Unless you have an unlimited budget get something mid range then when he's played with it six months and found what features he likes and are relevant to his playing then maybe for birthday upgrade.

I say this after splashing out on a nice gaming mouse for my OH one year only for it to be 'lent' :suspect: out because he preffered the wireless £15 from Asda being left handed

No good for me I'm afraid I can get into enough off a mess with an ordinary mouse lol

Now I realise why I have problems with a XBox pad More than 2 fingers used :hihi::hihi:

I use a Logitech G700 and think it's great. It can be used either wired or wirelessly, has more programmable buttons than you can shake a stick at, great for MMO's or FPS games.. is a lovely shape, and has some kind of weird texture to prevent slippery finger syndrome ;)

Biggest downside to it, it's a bit pricey...
