Christmas cards - how much do you pay?

Special relations cards ' Card Factory. They have an idea what cards are worth, unlike Clintons et al.

As for ordinary cards...straight down to the Save The Children shop to buy their cobbled-together packs of very lovely left over cards...ready for the following year. Money to charity AND not forgetting to remember the people you know at Christmas time (this rubbish about not sending cards at Christmas because you want to give to charity instead doesn't wash with me. Get your cards from a charity shop, and get writing and remembering your friends!)

Card factory for me too. Bought five cards the other day - one to the wife, another from the kids to their mum - so decent cards. A new home card, general birthday card and a leaving card - £3.75.

Bought my normal Christmas cards from ALDI - something like £1.99 for boxes of 40 - they were quite a decent size and good quality too.

Then spent about £25 on postage!

Yeh, Whsmiths ripped me off I brought 5 for £14! They weren't even that funny. My only defense is that I was shopping all day, got hypnotized by the Christmas paraphernalia they have around town. I suddenly forgot what money was and I spent a fortune. Epic win for the retailers of Sheffield.

Card Factory every time and the best news for us on the island is that a Card Factory opened up here in October! Best thing that's ever happened - think Clintons who used to have the monopoly will have noticed a difference this year in their card sales.

Card Factory or similar for special people (family and fiancé) and multipacks (from Sainsburys this year-half price ) for everyone else! Hate spending too much on cards, on the whole they just end up in the bin (hopefully of the blue variety!) Just received a card with a border collie on-I need to locate these for next year
