Old Grump Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 I am usually a Grumpy Old S*D, but today I had to get some Christmas cards and was getting ready to be charged astronomical amounts of hard earned cash for some bits of stiff paper However, I chanced upon a small shop in Ecclesfield High Street and bought a large A4 card for the wife, and two other smaller ones, l expecting to pay £10.00 or more. I was charged £3.50 I was quit shocked, and they are very nice cards too! Nice to see someone in the card industry NOT fleecing the public, well done that man. Right, back to being grumpy now

Resident Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 I'm a cheap-skate. I usually get mine the first week AFTER Christmas for the following one.
MJ01 Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 The card shop in Ecclesfield is brill - it's local to us so that helps - we always go there, the service is spot on. You can keep Clintons etc, keep it local, keep it real.
HarrietStar Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 For Christmas cards I always get charity ones and pay about £2-3 for 10, for all other cards I go to card factory!
alternageek Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 I bought cards for our friends off Folksy. With shipping for ten cards - £11 Handmade with little sparkly fake gems on them.. VERY pretty.
Agent Orange Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 Expensive cards for people I like and actually care about... donation to charity for those who I don't
POPSIE Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 I make my own cards which is good as I can put my own verse in as most of the cards today are just the old merry xmas verse
