You devils.

You demolish half the blooming city, giving away a building containing 1000 homes along with £40 million whilst the waiting list grows and grows, destroy the housing standards of Sheffield citizens, then go on to fund the mortgages of buy to let spivs.

Tha want's to get building and create employment. Instead of pricing people oout of housing by bidding it up with hb.

Why not buy houses off of these people to increase stock. Instead of guaranteeing them an income at the expense of everyone else, and without them having to do any honest work to earn it. You make my blood boil.

What standards must these properties conform to? Will there be space standards and will the poor souls you are farming for rent be allowed privacy?

Let us pass our problems onto you as we are useless and not fit for purpose.

And welcome to the forum. Seeing how homelessness is up 25% and there's no houses for people to be put it I'd imagine you'll be busy. May I suggest you hand out strong drink to those forced to sleep on the streets, believe you me it is needed.

Also, do you require your employees to declare financial interests, as I have found out about a few housing benefit advisers who are into buy to let and housing people on benefits, and quite frankly it stinks. They profit from the people they are supposed to help after helping to engineer the problem.

Who foots the bill for the council finding private landlords tenants? Surely it would be the landlord? No it's free! And Julie Dore has the cheek to us how the council can save money.

They are providing a service for vulnerable people. The Council can't house them so they are finding private lets to house these people who could otherwise find themselves homeless.

It seems the PRS are damned if they help people and damned if they don't.

As for the buy to lets people well if you think it's that easy have a go! You will be surprised that it is not the money spinner you think it is. Well not for the first 15 years or so. I have done it and found that my money would have made more in a high interest long term bond.

It surprises me how if you someone who try's to make a better living for themselves by investing in their future how wrong this is! Perhaps if we all became Communist this would sort out the capitalist problem. But seeing how Russia and China is changing even they are giving up on that idea.

This sounds too good to be true and as a BTL investor I have found out that it is. Benefits stopped paying rent for one of my tenants without telling me and at the drop of a hat.

After four months of wrangling and red tape they have stated yesterday that they will not be paying the outstanding rent arrears leaving me 1,800 pounds out of pocket and my soon to be ex- tenant homeless...it is true that they are a shower and should be held under the trade descriptions act for posting an advert like this on a forum.

I've printed it and it will be with Irwin Mitchell Monday.

They don't have to have come from the PRS to have their HB benefits stopped. I had one of mine get her HB stopped because she couldn't be bothered to be in when they came round on an appointment to her home to review her claim.

She had to re-apply and start from scratch and she did get her HB back dated which was 3 months rent but it was a relief when she went. She couldn't have cared less!

Now any HB tenant has to have a house owning guarantor who is in steady employment and who can pass a guarantor verification and affordability check.

I had a house available recently and offered it with the above to HB claimants and out of 5 applicants only 1 guarantor passed the check but then backed out.

I have had a different experience with an outlay of £90k on two houses netting £120k in rents and £140k in capital appreciation,a gain of some importance.Stop moaning sell the houses and roll your sleeves up and apply yourself. It is nothing to do with communism etc. as I believe in a strong left and despise Tories. My tenants are very happy being in residence for 9 and 6 years respectively with no rent increases!
