I have used lots of City Sightseeing buses (in York, Leeds and Blackpool), and I think we should have one in Sheffield. Before anyone starts saying "You can't go sightseeing in Sheffield", these tours are NOT just for sightseeing, they tell you the history of the city, however I have made a list of some of the most famous Sheffield landmarks that have a history to be told.

1. Ponds Forge

2. Crucible Theatre

3. Lyceum Theatre

4. Winter Gardens

5. Meadowhall

6. Kelham Island Museum

If Leeds can have one, Sheffield can have one too.

Yes, I agree. Also, not forgetting the City Hall, Town Hall and Peace Gardens.

I hate the city centre, horrible place, can't think for the life of me why anyone would actually pay to go there. :gag:

Suggested route.

Through the Manor down Prince of Wales Road. Then through Darnall via Staniforth Road and on to Burngreave via Page Hall next down the Wicker for and extended viewing of the market area, finally down the Moor and finish at to Bramall Lane.

Guaranteed to make any visitor to Sheffield feel better by way of the fact that they don't have to live here.
