sheff66 Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Wednesday could go 7 points clear of Huddersfield . United have a tricky but winnable trip to Bournemouth. Could this be a pivotal weekend for the rest of the season ????????? I personally think its a 3 horse race for the 2 automatic places with us Charlton and the Blades.
Robbie Loving Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 I personally think its a 3 horse race for the 2 automatic places with us Charlton and the Blades. I don't fancy our chances of being in the top 2, but should we carry on keeping clean sheets (didn't think I'd say that) and claiming 3 points, it could be close. I personally think it is for the Owls and Charlton to throw away.
salmonbones Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 No, this weekend isn't pivotal. What happens with transfers in January is though, for both Wednesday and Utd, less so for Charlton and Huddersfield. MK have a say in things as well, but they don't have any money to throw at transfers in January, so what they have is their lot unless they get loans or free transfers.
ging viking Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Don't think its pivotal but its a big big weekend for all the top clubs for us the huddersfield game is massive. If we can beat huddersfield then i am confident that we will win all our christmas games and be in a very good position for the new year. Hopefully charlton will lose and us win closing the gap to 2 points and the possibility of being top boxing day !! I don't for one minute think this will happen but it would be a dream christmas for us owls. I think the blades have a hard game as well with bournemouth beating charlton and being on a high but evans is on fire so a win is very possible.

Apparently Beevers has been excellent since he's been at MK Dons, so it will be nice to prise him away from them in January and un-settle them.
aaron1867 Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 No. Wednesday could have a very different side to the one thery have now (after January). Whatever the result against Huddersfield, we will still be above them.

They are on a good run, may benefit everyone else if we did take Beavers back, just out of spite.
JC02 Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 I don't think this will be the pivotal weekend, I think they will be a few twist and turns to come. I think Charlton will be promoted and 2nd spot will be up for grabs. Wednesday haven't really had their blip yet, so anything can happen. I think it will go to the very end this.

In my opinion I think it's a massive weekend for both clubs, Wednesday could see themsleves 6 points clear in second which is not to be sniffed at. Add to that the points gap which is appearing between the top six and the rest and it is a very important weekend.

It's a funny old game! Huddersfield didn't look like losing a week a go and now there venerable. I think it will go to the wire, mate.
