MC Spyda Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 Well I don't go out of my way to watch him. But I've seen enough of him to make a judgegment. When I say terrible, I don't mean it literally. I just have never thought he was good enough for one of the top clubs. I could see him being decent for a club like Everton.
ChrisT70 Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 each to their own opinion, i've supported utd for about 40yrs now and hes been one of their better midfielders imho. very competitive, hard working, great driver from midfield. i'm hoping utd sign someone in his mold and soon! i dont think he will come back or if he does wont be as strong a player. real shame.
ChrisT70 Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 still hoping they sign schneider or modric. just missing that one strong midfield creator and the return of the numerous injured players.

I think that whilst Fletcher isn't the most skillful player, he is a managers type off player. He'll carryout any role that the manager wants without fuss and he also seems to play his football without the self centred egotism that many players seem to have. Every successful team needs a good mixture of artists, tradesmen and labourers; he was the labourer in the Man Utd team.
MC Spyda Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 As brilliant as Schneider is, I think someone like Modric would be a much better signing for Man utd. But yeah, I think they need a signing or 2 if they want to compete with the best. Central midfild is severely lacking. Phil Jones playing out of position says it all. although he is doing a brilliant job it must be said.

I can't see Sneijder sacrificing the Champions league this season, so I don't think he'll join in January; and it seems that Spurs will not sell Moderic.
ChrisT70 Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 i dont think fergie will sign in jan, hes said he wont if the right player isnt available, they will probably have to do their best to get through until players return fit and summer comes. Jones has been the star player for me this yr, along with cleverly. its no coincidence that the team hasnt played as well since cleverly was injured and the midfield swapped about. jones/vidic/smalling in centre defense is the future selection choice with raphael at right back when hes fit. be hard to pick who fergie will sign for midfield.
