Help with bills for Yorkshire Water customers

Recommended Posts

Last week the Government published its 'Water White Paper' that outlined how the water industry will need to operate in years to come.

We were really pleased that the Government included in the document our proposal to introduce social tariffs to ensure that everyone in the UK has access to an affordable water supply.

At Yorkshire Water we are 100% committed to helping our customers and currently have a number of options for customers who are genuinely struggling to pay their bills which were highlighted within the 'White Paper' as industry best practice.

For more information on these as well as the additional added value services we provide, please visit our Public Affairs blog

just read about the charitable trust, it seems like

a nice way of helping people who are struggling. But I wish there was help for ordinary working people too - those without debts but still struggling to pay all the bills every month at the moment. Lower prices or at least no price rise wouldn't go amiss!

But this charitable trust has been running for quite a few years so nothing has changed

So basically, if you've got in to a lot of debt, here there and everywhere, you can get help from Yorkshire Water.

If you work your proverbial off and your family regularly go without because you can't affford a decent standard of living but don't want to get in to debt, you've got no chance. Thanks Yorkshire Water for nothing!

Why doesn't it surprise me that Yorkshire Water would come up with something like this!?!*!

Aren't Yorkshire Water Generous!!!

Another option that Yorkshire Water will not have considered is to lower the bills to consumers to make them more affordable for everyone. Maybe give back some of the £163.5 million profit made in the first 6 months of 2010. Have you thought of that????

Thought Not!!

My Yorkshire Water bill last Year.....£400.71

This Year with Welsh Water..........£343.46

Even cheaper when they fit a meter.

Why is Yorkshire Water more expensive?

Is this another way of saying, if you are in receipt of benefits, we will not cut you off, that would be bad publicity. We will just make sure those who actually pay, will have to fund you.We do have shareholders to appease.
