My friend has hers on a special diet, although it's not cheap :(

I know her moggy suffers when he is stressed? So take that into consideration if anything has changed in the house?

Sorry to hear about your cat. The Feline Advisory bureau have some information on their site that might help (if you scroll down to first line treatment, it mentions stress and diet) http://www.fabcats.org/owners/flutd/info.html

Might be worth ringing your vets and saying it has come back as your cat might have something else if he is still suffering.

i will do, poor little mite, the only reason we have him is because he owner died and no one else to have him and they family were going to have him put down!!

I'm sorry, can't be of help there cause I haven't used it but I should imagine that if he will take it straight from the tube then that is ok. Dosages should be on the tube.
