samstar999 Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 We are sheltering a ginger and white cat. Appeared on Friday morning, no collar, starving hungry. We have fed him, put him back out hoping that his owners had been at work and would take him back in. He keeps coming back and it seems that he is lost or has no home. We can't keep him as we have two already and they are NOT happy at the invasion. Do you know anyone who has lost a cat like this? We are on South View Road. Thanks for reading.
vwkittie Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 Would you be able to pop to the vets with him - they would scan him for a chip for free, hopefully he's chipped and could be taken home
samstar999 Posted December 10, 2011 Author Posted December 10, 2011 Hi. Vets closed. Will try to find out of hours one. Don't really think he'll be chipped though. He's tiny and if he was I think he'd have a collar?
mc55 Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 Plain Talker has a young ginger & white kitten ... wonder if it's george ? I'll fb her
samstar999 Posted December 10, 2011 Author Posted December 10, 2011 Off to Dinnington animal sanctuary. If it is PTs please PM me
samstar999 Posted December 10, 2011 Author Posted December 10, 2011 The cat has been taken to Dinnington cats' shelter. He needed a name so is now Dylan. If anyone comes forward to claim him or would like to give a gorgeous, friendly, playful and extremely purry kittie a home I will be happy to go and bring him back. We would have loved to keep him but it just wasn't fair on our two who were pretty peeved about him getting their food and basket! Thanks for your replies. PS - this cat is not chipped.
mc55 Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 it's not George, he is safely at home. Is he a kitten ? did you get a photo ?
samstar999 Posted December 10, 2011 Author Posted December 10, 2011 Hi. I did but not v good- he wouldn't pose and we had to dash off to get there by 3. We think he's about 8 months old. Possibly neutered. I wonder whether he's been dumped here because none of us cat lovers has seem him before. Including the street's resident cat lady expert who takes in all sorts of cats. She worked for years just to pay vet bills. Thanks again for asking Plain Talker.
magsie Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 That's such good news. I didn't know there was a cat rescue at Dinnington. Especially one that is taking in cats. Was it Thornberry Animal Sanctuary? Good for you to helping this little cat, where would it have been without you?
Plain Talker Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 Hi, all, Thanks everyone for the concern that this poor little lost kitty might be my Georgie. As mc55 said, thankfully, my little (well, he's not so little, now) Georgie is and was safely in front of the fire, warming himself. (as were his big brothers) I hope the poor lost kitty finds his owners soon.
