Advice needed about flashers

The jokes and innuendo (all very funny). but are part of the problem why your not taken seriously by the police. I confess I clicked this link to give a comedy response myself. Partly because I can't think of one and partly because it wont be as funny as some already posted I decided to actually respond like the 35 year old man I supposed to be.

This is a crime of a sexual nature involving a child and you need to remind the police of that, If they are not taking it seriously and responding with the full force of the law. You need to raise this first with the police complaints commotion then with your MP. This is a crime not a joke.

Exactly, well said.

It's depressing as well that these people are well known for intimidation and putting through the windows of 'grasses' but rather than dealing with that their advice is not to report! Terrible.

Thanks, Thought I would be "grown up" for a change ( "smug face" smile ) Rather than vigilante justice implied in the last post. If you are worried about your safety from retribution. If they are dealt with correctly and branded a sexual criminal toward a child. Then if all the dark sinister undertones of that played out to the full effect including being on the sex offenders register. Then bricking in your windows would be an act of admitting guilt to being ( in their language) a "compete nonce". If they can pluck up enough courage to even go out to the shops after being branded that I would be surprised.

how can people make jokes about this, tell your friend to telephone her local station and ask to speak to the top copper in charge, and say if they dont get this sorted shes contacting the papers,im sure if the coppers told them theyde be prosecuted and put on the sex offenders register, they might realise how seriouse it is what there doin.

Surely flashing at an underage child is a rather serious charge, I would have thought these guys could end up on the sexual offenders register.

It sounds to me as if the Public Order Act 1986 might be invoked:

Section 4A

Intentional harassment, alarm or distress.

(1)A person is guilty of an offence if, with intent to cause a person harassment, alarm or distress, he—

(a)uses threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour, or disorderly behaviour, or

(b)displays any writing, sign or other visible representation which is threatening, abusive or insulting,

thereby causing that or another person harassment, alarm or distress.

(2)An offence under this section may be committed in a public or a private place, except that no offence is committed where the words or behaviour are used, or the writing, sign or other visible representation is displayed, by a person inside a dwelling and the person who is harassed, alarmed or distressed is also inside that or another dwelling.

(3)It is a defence for the accused to prove—

(a)that he was inside a dwelling and had no reason to believe that the words or behaviour used, or the writing, sign or other visible representation displayed, would be heard or seen by a person outside that or any other dwelling, or

(b)that his conduct was reasonable.

(4)A constable may arrest without warrant anyone he reasonably suspects is committing an offence under this section.

(5)A person guilty of an offence under this section is liable on summary conviction to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 6 months or a fine not exceeding level 5 on the standard scale or both.]

It would be an idea to seek legal guidance accordingly.

Go back to the police. If they still refuse to do anything go to The Star who, while certainly mispelling your concerns, will at least force the police in to action

What area is this in, let's put it this way, if it was in my part of the city these guys would be branded "child molesters" for flashing in front of children and be likely "victims" of the locals rather than showing off. I'm very surprised that the police have refused to deal with this as it is "harassment" and to be honest it is classed indecent exposure which is a criminal offence and usually lands the culprits on the Sex Offenders Register.
