taxman Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 Mario Balotelli claims he isn't mad. He says he is entertaining instead and I'm inclined to agree with him. Sometimes he doesn't help himself and opposing fans and players will target him relentlessly knowing he has a short fuse but he is a copywriter's dream. From having his car impounded 27 times to blowing his apartment up by letting off fireworks nobody can say he's boring. Opposing fans hate him and they'll eff and blind at him for 90 minutes then report him to the nearest plod when he says something back or makes a hand gesture. Bet they'd love him if he played for them though. I watched the FA Cup final last year and was so hoping that Stoke could crash the party but after seeing the Stoke players kick Balotelli non-stop for the first 45 I decided I wanted football to be the winner. He's a loon, he's also talented and I quite like him.
md00071 Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 He was unlucky to get sent off last week, but the way he constantly lets Mancini down is getting beyond a joke. Fergie would have had him out of the door within a month. To me, a "mad" player is a John Burridge or a Bruce Grobbelaar. Balotelli reminds me more of the young Samuel Eto'o. He had some nasty, petulant moments early on in Spain.
MC Spyda Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 He's brilliant. It's good to have a character like him around.
