Watch repairs in town?

Where in town can I get a watch strap shortened? I just need a couple of links taking out?

 

Also how much should it cost?

any jewellers should do this the one at the side of the market is quite reasonably priced not sure how much as is some years ago i had this done but as always shop around

The spring bar (which holds the strap links together) on my watch broke a few weeks ago, so I took it to HL Brown. After finding the right sized one, they replaced it at zero cost. I was very impressed!

Just inside the door at Atkinsons on the Moor there is a watch repairer.

had a battety fitted at cobblers & keys on west st. £5.99. not a great value since others on the forum reported cheaper service from the same guy. he's really nice though.
