drummonds   10 #15 Posted October 5, 2015 Hi Does anyone know anywhere perhaps like a nice deli that sells high quality cafetiere coffee to give as gift to a rather high-brow "connoisseur-of-everything" type person? Or if not in Sheffield then a good online recommendation?  Thanks  if you go to the library in crystal peaks there is a cafe/shop that sells pollards coffee in foil packs. nannyogg   10 #17 Posted October 5, 2015 Tamper coffee is amazing and they sell blends. To all those talking of Kopi Luwak coffee, please remember that they trap wild animals, cage them in tiny cages and force feed them the beans. If you have any respect for living creatures, give it a wide berth, please.  ---------- Post added 05-10-2015 at 21:08 ----------  http://www.theguardian.com/environment/2012/nov/19/civet-coffee-abuse-campaigners
 Share this content via...

D.O.N.E Â Â 10 #19 Posted October 6, 2015 That's disgusting - how can a company do something so horrible and yet stay in business? I do not drink Luwak coffee because it is now commercialised. The real Luwak coffee has its expensive price because in the wild, the civit will eat only the most choice coffee fruit on each bush. The caged civit is not forced fed, it just eats the coffee fruit provided. Not saying it's right to cage them, but get the facts right. nannyogg   10 #20 Posted October 6, 2015 Hmm, okay, not force fed. It can eat the coffee fruit provided or starve. In the wild the coffee fruit would only be a part of its diet.
 Share this content via...

Do they get an alternative or do they starve?
 Share this content via...
