Suicide - is it a viable 'way out'?

Clearly, they're wrong.

Were they to see (after having died) that others do care, they'd realise too late that the suicide was pointless after all.

 

You are assuming (which isn't like you) that when people committ suicide they'll be leaving a family who loves them. that might not be the case at all. They might be the last one left or just hate, for what ever reason their surviving family.
