dawny1970 Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 there is an inch of slush and snow on our road, and they decide to come and fill in some pot holes this morning on our road :loopy: i suspect that these repairs are not going to last long!!!
Cyclone Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 I doubt that they planned it like that, presumably they don't just decide on any given morning where to do some work, it will be planned weeks in advance. No snow here in S6.
intruder 600 Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 usualy get them up here when its raining.....seal the water in,then big freeze and its up again.
bladebeer Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 I live in s13 and when we moved in , the road was a lovely piece of tarmac . Since then ,through the years we have had dozens of potholes filled in(not very professionaly) so that the road now resembles a patchwork quilt and the fillings don't last and soon need filling again
dawny1970 Posted December 5, 2011 Author Posted December 5, 2011 it was funny, we have about 50 potholes on our road, they filled in........2!!!!
Planner1 Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 it was funny, we have about 50 potholes on our road, they filled in........2!!!! They only fill the ones they classify as "hazzardous" ie over 20mm deep. The Council's website has the details. See the routine maintenance section on this page: http://www.sheffield.gov.uk/roads/maintenance/maintenance
