Iphone 3gs passcode not working

Right there will no doubt be a thread on here somewhere, but I havent got the time to search or quite frankly the energy as im really fed up.

 

I have the passcode lock on the phone, I set it last night before bed turned the phone off with the code ive been using for months, i get up this morning and all of a suddent its the incorrect passcode! so I try a few times thinking ive miss typed a number, No, disabled.

 

Now I know I wont get an explanation as to how to over ride this, as obviously the phone could be stolen for all you know, what I want to know is if it can be rectified by taking it to the apple shop or elsewhere or is it basically just useless now and shall I just throw the thing in the bin.

take it to apple shop. they are usually helpfull for stuff like this

Hi Mate,

 

The simplest way will be to put the phone into recovery mode and restore the phone from your latest iTunes backup.
