CXC3000 Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 I mean, under the worst case scenario, can it legally be done ? - thankfully I'm not claiming any at the moment but it would be good to know what could happen. Thanks in advance.
fruitisbad Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 You can get sanctioned anf i think technically jobseekers allowance cut but you can apply for something else which is basically a reduced amount of benefits. Get a job etc.

love_rat Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 You can get sanctioned anf i think technically jobseekers allowance cut but you can apply for something else which is basically a reduced amount of benefits. Get a job etc. Not everyone wants to go to work
XXTickerXX Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 What happens then though. If their benefits are stopped altogether and they can`t/won`t find a job does`nt that mean they will be a little crimewave, shoplifting food, stealing etc.Obviously they would turn round and blame everybody but themselves.
davyboy Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 You can get sanctioned, usually for 6 months,if you give up your job for no good reason. You will lose all benefits.
denlin Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 Not everyone wants to go to work Why not?........... Not many of us go for fun of it, it's more about self esteem and dignity. While there are those who genuinely can't work that doesn't mean they don't want to. I think maybe you should rephrase that:D:love:
thursday Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 Not everyone wants to go to work And 'not everyone' who does go to work, wants to see part of their hard-earned wages being given to the lazy scroungers who 'don't want to go to work...' Unfortunately, we have no choice.

Mecky Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 You can get sanctioned, usually for 6 months,if you give up your job for no good reason. You will lose all benefits. What is a no good reason? Who determines what a no good reason is, some monkey doing a box ticking exercise? The government was embarrassed the other week when that couple commited suicide because their dole wasn't enough to live on. I'm pretty sure international governments were keen to point that out and I really think the government doesn't want to see that happening again.
