Taking kids to Euro Disney on 21/12 on the way back we plan to visit Eiffel Tower .Can anyone suggest the best place to park near to the tower or a tram station on the outskirts of paris that takes us to the tower.?

Cheers

I would park on the east side of Paris if I were you and take the RER into the city. RER Line A (the red one, I think) goes right across the centre of Paris, east to west, from Eurodisney. Change at Etoile (Arc de Triomphe) for the metro and go a couple of stops south to the tower to Passy or Bir Hakeim (metro line 6). You might be better off getting the RER all the way into Paris and back from Eurodisney. Driving in Paris is very heavy-going, especially if you don't know your way round and parking in the eastern suburbs can be difficult. The metro between Passy and Bir Hakeim is lovely at night, going over the Seine with the Eiffel Tower lit up. You can also get the RER Line C (yellow, I think) to Champ de Mars.

Absolutely, I wouldn't dream of driving into central Paris. It will be quicker and better for your blood pressure to use the RER.

If you want the very best view of the tower, take the RER to Etoile, then Metro line 6 to the Trocadero and walk from there.

If you really must drive, take the Peripherique to the other side of town and then use the Metro/RER/Local trains. Anywhere near La Defense should be fine. Enjoy the drive:D

been talling to a friend who visited paris some time ago he says i'm better off parking my car at a place called charlety-coubertin and then getting a tram to the tower ...Is this a practical option...

Thanks for your responses already.
