It infuriates me.

My retirement age was going to be 64 and 11 months. Now according to this site it's increased to 65 and 7 months!

I've been a nurse since Oct 72 and now, at the age of 57 I am finding it back-breaking work...god knows how I'll manage in another 5 or 6 years.

They should be looking to people retiring earlier and getting some of the young ones with no employment prospects into jobs and force some of the professional dole-ites to earn their crust as I'm fed up of earning it for them.

Dear Mr Cameron..... Gizza break - I'm bloody knackered xx

Awwww........so much of that struck a cord. Have the two bitty boys ever explained why they consider it appropriate for older people to work longer to keep the youngsters in idleness?

can you imagine in years to come we are going to have all these elderly workers struggling to do their jobs. will you want your child taught by an 67yr old teacher, set in their ways and marking time till retirement, and what about the 67yr old nurse trying to lift you from your hospital bed. the list goes on, steelworkers any manual workers how are they going to do their jobs at that age?

its laughable, how is it going to work. maybe the government are hoping many will not make it to retirment, that will save them a bob or two.

It's not necessarily the case. The jobs just aren't there. Over half the people in the UK don't work.

Technological advance, means less and less need to work. A large part of our economy involves peddling debt to others, or selling overpriced tat in a nice package.

And some people don't want to retire, my mother is also a nurse, and a friend of hers has retired early, has a 100% paid for house, but come back to work through the NHS professionals agency. Whilst other nurses (generally those whom have just graduated - now you need a degree to enter the profession) are without work on the rock and roll.

What about a 67 years old female refuse collector carting bins about?

67 year old digging holes in the road?

I know loads of young, newly qualified nurses who would love my job. Why can't I leave in 2 years and let someone else have it?

Instead of them being on the dole, I could have their money in my pension!!

I think that the two bitty boys are trying to kill some people off while they are still working to avoid paying them pensions etc

according to thier calculator in currently entitled to £47 a week pension, woohoo
