iphonelover Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 Hi We are going to taybarns at barnaley but dont drive, anyone been there before on public tranaport? Thanks
Leah-Lacie Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 My friends got a bus to High Green, then a taxi to Taybarns, as its a 5 minute drive from there. Someone told me before there is a bus that goes to Barnsley (Elsecar type area?) that passes Taybarns (which is Tankersley manor), but I've never found it on an internet search!
sammielou Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 it used to be the 72a but i don't think it runs anymore

Route map of 72 and all other services in South Yorkshire can be downloaded here. Look for Tankersley on the map, note the bus numbers and then see where they run from and to...
sheffgrow Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 its not worth a special trip, but your bus fair towards a decent meal
Miss_S_83 Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 There's nothing wrong with it- what do you expect for an all you can eat (and drink- fizzy drinks)? It has crusty bread/salad section, chicken breasts, chips, burgers, pizza, small chinese/indian section, pasta, puds... ok so some times have been better than others but I wouldn't say it was disgusting. Besides, the OP may have a reason to get there other than wanting to go his/herself (ie family/friends going... a 'do').... Sorry I can't help as always drove there on the few occasions I have been but hope you find a way soon x
