sedith   19 #1 Posted November 29, 2011 Friend of mine just rang, he's lost his roof due to a freak hurricane in Goole at about 4pm today. It ripped through the road and took the roof of several houses and lifted a shed off its base and dumped it in the road! I didn't realise it was that windy?? They are quite important in keeping the rain out.
 Share this content via...

HeadingNorth   11 #4 Posted November 29, 2011 Friend of mine just rang, he's lost his roof due to a freak hurricane in Goole at about 4pm today.  There was no hurricane today; there has not been a hurricane in Britain for at least ten million years. It's physically impossible for any hurricane ever to survive and reach these latitudes.
 Share this content via...

HeadingNorth   11 #6 Posted November 29, 2011 i heard on calander news they had tornadoes in parts of east yorks.  Ah .. that could be true, although I'd expect a tornado to do more damage.  I did rather casually assume that it was just another idiot referring to "a hurricane" when he meant a gale, or a storm. some guy   10 #8 Posted November 29, 2011 Don't think it could have been a hurricane as they're more tropical. Tornado possibly.
 Share this content via...
