Thanks everyone - still hasn't quite sunk in :( I still keep expecting her to welcome me every time I come into our house and having the 2 seater settee empty in the lounge is really strange. We have come to the conclusion that we have to get rid of the 2 and 3 seater sofas and buy new as it's just too upsetting having the same furniture what we shared with Sophie and where she was pts. Totally devastated is an understatement - 2 precious lives in under a week :(

Know what you mean about the furniture, when I sit on the sofa where Ailsa spent her final moments It all comes back to me, that knowing look, her yelping as the needle went in and the sudden silence. i get anxiety attacks just thinking of it still. They certainly leave an impact but you know what? I dont regret a moment I had her and I bet you dont either. Big hugs xxK

Thanks Katkin :) Sophie didn't yelp or anything - she just flinched very slightly - it's just the fact that it was her sofa and it's strange not seeing her on THAT sofa - maybe a different sofa will help :( Sorry to hear about your anxiety attacks - it must be very distressing for you. Your right, I don't regret a moment with any of my pets, but Sophie was a big softie with a big personality and our home just doesn't feel the same to come back to or live in anymore :(
