xfox3x Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 Brilliant entertainer! Probably the best IMO.
BettyBooHoo! Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 Bloody hell, time does indeed fly. I remember watching the concert they did in his memory with the likes of Def Leopard and George Michael etc.

BTW...Mercury was a "visionary" IMO...not a bad singer, not a great one... He wrote some very good songs...and certainly, I think, Queen never could have, never did, really, replace him. Remembered well. Thanks.
frank ryan Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 Queen were amongst the worst bands in history - music for people who don't like music (like coldplay) - rip freddie
TheGuy Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 He had one of the most amazing voices. Killer Queen Acapella
epiphany Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 Not only a great performer and vocalist but also an incredibly talented songwriter. While most songwriters today simply learn a few chords on the guitar/piano and rehash the same tired progressions over and over again (albeit with different vocal harmonies), Mercury actually took the time and effort to create truly original, sometimes very complex arrangements.
gnvqsos Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 Queen were amongst the worst bands in history - music for people who don't like music (like coldplay) - rip freddie I agree they were awful, full of pomp and hot air. Most of their songs were football chants We are the champions,We will Rock You,WE Will win the Cup,and best of all We will confuse you They were a poor mans Led Zeppelin and they were poor as well.
