I was a nanny, and was in the kitchen when the little girls came rushing in, saying 'A man's been shot and his mummy's crying'.

 

Bless 'em, that's how they interpreted it. When I went to have a look at the tv there was a woman at a piano playing solemn music. I think it was itv (or the equivalent of the time)

Just nipped to pub in my half hour lunch break, landlady told me about kennedy

been shot, felt like sumut went right down my back.

Ex pub, the alma on green lane -off shalesmoor, now kellam island.

Me & my mates had just come out of the sasprilla shop at Hillsborough when the old lady from the pie shop next door came running out shouting,'he's been shot'.Being only 13 at the time we hadn't got a clue who she was on about.Must be true when they say everyone knows where they were when he got shot.Strange eh?:loopy:
