Uncharted - Drake's Fourtune. Freezing.

So I thought I may aswell buy all 3 Uncarted games and tear my way through them, but I'm already stuck on the first game.

 

It freezes up when it gets to chapter 10.

 

Anyone else experienced this? Or know of any work arounds?

 

To cut this short, I have searched the net and it seems it's a common problem. I have the exact same issue as the person in the link below, I have also tried the same suggestions. No luck...

If you bought used try giving the disc a wipe I've never had a problem with any of the uncharted games

I probably would have been better getting a Chinese knock off

 

I tried the basic things like cleaning the disc etc. Still no luck. It does seem like it's a problem that quite a few people have had though, but I would have thought that the game being so old, the problems would have been solved. Unless of course it really is just a coincidence that the game freezes for me at the exact same place as the people who have had problems in the google searches I have done.

 

I even tried playing from an earlier chapter, then still the same freeze in chapter 10.

Only thing I can suggest is download a 100% complete save game so you can skip that level.

Thanks for the suggestion, not sure why I didn't think of that before.

 

Just done that and still no joy. Every single chapter after chapter 10 freezes, everything before works. I can't be bothered with trying to get a different disc or anything else, so I guess I'll just watch a walkthrough on youtube for the rest and move on to Uncharted 2.

Very strange. You're not missing a huge amount, Uncharted 2 and 3 are where it's at lol.

lol yeah I must admit I wasn't too bothered about the first Uncharted, just wanted to get it out of the way before playing the next 2.
