Electoral Roll 1969 - Wincobank

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I'm trying to trace a family that lived in Fife St 1969/70 and wondering if there's anywhere I can access the electoral rolls for that time??

Hi JPWhitelam - in case it's helpful, here is a scan from the Kelly's Directory for 1968. I also have the 1973 directory..:)

Thanks Tuppie,

I'm not going to be able to get down there for some time so hoping to dig something out online....

Thanks Hillsbro, I think it may be the previous page if you have it...???

The scan includes all the entries for Fife Street (the odd numbers begin at No 19, the steel firm occupying what would be the lower odd numbers).

Ah I realised after I sent it that the other roads must be those that intersect Fife St :-)

Would you mind also letting me have the '73 scan?? this is a great help

Here is the scan from the 1970 edition, which may fill the gap.

Thanks a lot Leipzig, these are a great help.

Although I still can't find the residents I'm looking for!! I'm wondering if the family I'm looking for were renting from someone listed in the directory.

I think I'm still going to need to access the electoral roll, I'll eventually get a chance to make a trip to view the physical rolls at the library but it won't be for months and I'm keen to get a lead before then. If you have any ideas where else I could look it's be much appreciated..

Thanks Again
