New log book sent out

has anyone had a new log book through the post its red as opposed to blue dvla say its due to a theft and i should destroy the old one

Someone stole all the blue log books from the DVLA?

Yes. DVLA has issued RED ones to replace the blue ones as they had a load of blank ones stolen that were being transported to be destroyed.

 

The only issue about this is that it's been dealt with the usual speed of the DVLA. The stolen blue documents were stolen 4-5 YEARS ago.

yup, i got 1 of those, interesting point on it, it states that you are not the owner of the vehicle, just the person responsible for taxing, insuring and mot'ing it

thats allways been the case

the registered keeper is not allways the owner

but i am the owner, but the log book says im not, so if thats the case, i can deny being the owner of the vehicle quite legally then if i get an invoice :hihi:

oops missed this

its not the owner who gets the tickets, its the registered keeper and then that person as to pass on info of the person who was in charge of the vehicle at the time

as you are the registered keeper you are liable
