shims Posted November 23, 2011 Author Posted November 23, 2011 And?...... Notable people who have died recently. I like jazz and have a few albums Paul Motian plays on, my girlfriend is a big fan of Anne McCaffrey's novels and I assume some others here are also and Scaglietti designed some beautiful cars including the original Ferrari GTO, one of the most iconic sports cars ever. The connection is that they all died over the course of three days and I didn't want to clog up the board with R.I.P. threads. There is usually such a thread when a big name dies and I'm sure that some micro-celeb from reality TV or whatever would get one were they to pass, so why not have one for some notable people, who may not be household names but had a talent and left their mark? So there you have it .. I like Jazz and cars, my girlfriend likes reading sci-fi and fantasy. Surely we're not alone?
