sssheikh Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 Hello everyone, I have a Sigma 24-70 2.8 (non HSM) that works fine with all Nikons except the D7000. I've been told that I will have to send it to Sigma for rechipping, as it has lesser digital contacts for it to work with the D7000. I am based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. Any idea where I could send this and how it will cost? Thanks!
Twoflags Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 Would have to go to the sigma service centre and iirc it's about the cost of the lens to have sone
nikonuser Posted November 23, 2011 Posted November 23, 2011 Give these a ring, they are very helpful. I have used them several times and are fully authorised Nikon and Canon service agents. http://www.hlehmann.co.uk/
Grissom Posted November 23, 2011 Posted November 23, 2011 Here is the sigma page explaining about repairs http://www.sigma-imaging-uk.com/support/returns.htm suggest you call 01707 329 999 to confirm rechip price, might be able to get it done free and perhaps only pay for p&p from what I have seen on some other forums
