Mecky Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 "Top Execs' High Pay 'Corrosive' To Economy" And it took a think tank to find this out did it? Pay has risen 4,000% for bosses in the last 30 years. http://web.orange.co.uk/article/news/high_executive_pay_angers_public_report_says I suppose it's just "Envy" which is the latest buzzword the turkeys on here use. Sits back and awaits the bullyboys, trying to justify executive pay; it won't be too long ... and they're absolutely gauranteed to be the most gobby.

taxman Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 But we need these high flying, highly paid, intelligent business leaders to get Britain out of the current mess. Where would we be if wonderful and successful people like Fred Goodwin were forced to go abroad for their huge pay packets?

Where would we be if wonderful and successful people like Fred Goodwin were forced to go abroad for their huge pay packets? I'm willing to take that chance. Yes, just where would be without those Oxbridge educated Bankers??? Highly educated people, what scum! So you'd prefer bankers who went to Sheffield College? The problem with banksters isn't where they were educated or how privileged their background is, it's that their corruption and fraud go unpunished and their failures are rewarded with bailouts.
L00b Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 So, let me get this straight... The year-long inquiry found the pay of top executives had increased by more than 4,000% in the past 30 years, compared to a mere threefold increase in the average worker's salary, fuelling the gap between the highest paid 0.1% and the rest of British society. 0.1% of the working population has had a 4000% pay increase over 30 years and 99.9% of the working population has had a 300% pay increase over 30 years. With a working population of 34 millions in 2009, that would make 34.000 top execs vs 33.966.000 joe averages. Is that the point we're supposed to be getting all hot and bothered about?
