passmark Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 Any tips/ideas on how to waterproof a waterfall ? I've succeeded in constructing a waterfall with stones fixed into set mortar but water has somehow seeped through - it looks well set - so that water accumulates beneath the pond liner of the pond below. There's no loss of water when the waterfall isn't running so the liner of the top pool and the pond below are sound
Pro Builders Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 In my past experiences you are best to apply the liner behind the waterfall before construction as you have all ready built it you may find it tricky to seal. Where are about are you I may be able to pop round and look to advise you on my travels .
sskirrrow Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 I remember a friend having a similar problem with one of his rills. I have just asked him what he used and recommended this... Blagdon V8 Pond Seal... http://www.water-garden.co.uk/pond_paint_sealant.php
